You are provided with access to this Website in accordance with these Conditions and all orders placed by you must be placed strictly in accordance with these conditions.

You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, directors, employees, agents and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of the use of this website, or the use by any other person accessing the Website using your shopping account and/or your Personal Information.

We reserve the right to keep all customer details on our ordering system whether that be an electronic or paper system, until such time that we deem it suitable to destroy them. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure all information remains confidential and we will fully comply with all applicable Data Protection Legislation. Your Personal Information may be disclosed to other businesses who help in the processing of your order. All third parties will treat your Personal Information as fully confidential and will fully comply with all applicable Data Protection Legislation.
You should be aware that if we are requested by the Police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and/or user information, we are entitled to do so.
Electronic contract & contract creation
To be eligible to purchase Products on this Website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this Website under English law you must:
- Register by providing your real name, phone number, e-mail address, payment details and other requested information
- Be over 18 years of age
- Stipulate a delivery address in the UK. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable
- Possess a valid credit or debit card issued by a bank acceptable to us
By making an offer to buy a Product, you specifically authorise us to transmit information (any updated information) or to obtain information about you from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to, your debit or credit card number or credit reports, to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorisation and to authorise individual purchase transactions.
We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
Order process
The technical steps to create the contract between you and us are as follows:
- You place the order for your Products on the Website by pressing the confirm order button at the end of the check out process. You will be guided through the process of placing an order by a series of simple instructions on the Website
- We will send to you an order acknowledgement email detailing the Products you have ordered. This is not an order confirmation or order acceptance from George Adam Furniture Ltd
- As our Product is shipped from a warehouse we will send you a despatch confirmation email
- Order acceptance and the completion of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the Products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it in accordance with the instructions in change or cancel an order
Product description
Each Product purchased is sold subject to its product description which sets out additional Specific Conditions related to that product including, without limitation, terms and conditions concerning estimated delivery dates and times, warranties, after-sales service and guarantees.
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of Products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was being entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, the information including product descriptions appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. We cannot confirm the price of a Product until your order is accepted in accordance with our Order Acceptance Policy.
Furniture measurements
The dimensions given are written for your guidance. Before ordering, please ensure that there is adequate room to take the furniture through any doorways and windows.
Delivery
Furniture items (excluding accessories) will be delivered free of charge to a single address postcode in England, Wales and Scotland providing the order value (excluding VAT) exceeds £250 (excluding areas with the following postcodes; KW, IV, HS, AB & PA,LL,PO,IM Delivery to these excluded postcodes and other areas will require a quote. Please email: customerservice@georgeadamfurniture.co.uk or call 01480 432 762). Delivery of orders totalling less than £250 before VAT will be charged at the rate of £30 per delivery postcode.
- If an order contains more that one item, delivery will not take place until all items are in stock
- Delivery of all furniture will be completed by one delivery person. Items will be delivered to the ground floor and in the case of flats/apartments, will be delivered to the entrance of a block should a lift not be provided
- You will be contacted by telephone to arrange morning or afternoon delivery of your furniture.
- Shipping of fragile items such as pictures, mirrors and fireguards will be charged at the normal furniture item rate of £30 per postcode. All other accessories will be posted via Royal Mail or a similar courier company at a cost of £8.00 per order.
Contract cancellation
You are entitled to cancel this contract if you so wish provided that you exercise your right no longer than 5 working days after the day on which you received the Products.
If you wish to exercise your right to cancel this contract after your order has been despatched please follow the procedure set out in our Returns Procedure.
Please note that your right to return Products does NOT apply to: Mattresses and goods made to your specification.
Refusal of transaction
We reserve the right to withdraw any Products from this Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at anytime at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any Product from this Website whether or not that the Product has been sold; removing or editing any materials or content on the Website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.
Gift vouchers
George Adam Furniture Ltd gift vouchers can be used to purchase goods online at georgeadamfurniture.co.uk.
Gift vouchers may not be exchanged for cash.
If the goods on line total less than the value of the gift voucher, any balance left will be left as a credit for you with georgeadamfurniture.co.uk and will be redeemed against subsequent orders.
When redeeming gift vouchers online you will be required to give the serial number of the voucher in the box marked “gift voucher number”.
If you have any return goods you have purchased online using gift voucher/s, then in most instances we will credit your online shopping account against further purchases. The normal returns policy does apply see Returns Policy. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Payment
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system.
Law
The conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Returns Procedure
We hope you will be pleased with your purchase. Should you wish to return anything bought from us, we will be happy to refund or exchange a product provided it is in a fully resaleable condition. Returns should be notified in writing to customerservice@georgeadamfurniture.co.uk within 5 working days from delivery.
Exceptions to this policy
If the product returned is not in a fully resaleable condition or the packaging is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Products we are unable to refund or exchange
We are unable to offer a refund or exchange on made to measure items unless they are faulty. For hygiene reasons we are unable to refund or exchange on mattresses and divan beds unless they are faulty.
Delivery charges
We will refund your delivery charge when a product is faulty or damaged, but not when a product is simply unwanted.
Unwanted purchases
Should you wish to return a furniture item we will arrange to collect this item and will apply a £50.00 collection charge. Should the furniture be faulty the collection charge will not apply.
Cancellation of made to measure items
We only offer refunds/exchange of faulty or damaged made to measure items. Please email customerservice@georgeadamfurniture.co.uk within 5 working days of receiving your goods.
